Kadyn Proctor expected to make season debut against Wisconsin

Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor will start Saturday for the first time this season against Wisconsin , according to 247Sports .

The sophomore, who started every game for Alabama last season, has been hampered by a shoulder injury he sustained during fall camp.

Proctor was seen warming up before last weekend's matchup with South Florida but did not suit up. Head coach Kalen DeBoer mentioned earlier this week about Proctor's significant progress during practice.

Alabama's offense is in desperate need of a strong debut from Proctor after USF put constant pressure on quarterback Jalen Milroe while holding penalties were also an issue for the Crimson Tide's offensive line.

The six-foot-seven, 360-pound Proctor was selected to the All-SEC Freshman Team after last season by the conference coaches.

Proctor had quite the offseason following his performance in the Rose Bowl as he transferred to Iowa after Nick Saban announced his retirement before deciding to enter the portal once again and come back to Alabama.

During the offseason, Proctor had to earn his spot back at the starting left tackle position. After a few weeks, Proctor did just that, which shifted redshirt sophomore Elijah Pritchett over to right tackle to battle redshirt freshman Wilkin Formby for the starting position.

Through two games, Formby has started but struggled against USF. Pritchett played six snaps at right tackle against the Bulls - as Pritchett is also dealing with injury -  but the Crimson Tide scored on three of his six snaps.

Alabama kicks off its road slate with a trip to Camp Randall Stadium that kicks off at 11:00 a.m. Central Time tomorrow morning.
