The Kansas City Chiefs got off to a hot start in their season opener, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in Week 1. In the first half, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes surpassed Hall of Fame quarterback Len Dawson (28,507) for the most passing yards in franchise history.

Cheering Mahomes on at Arrowhead Stadium, his mother, Randi Mahomes, along with her other two children, Jackson, 24, and Mia, 13. The Chiefs look to remain undefeated when they face off against one of their biggest AFC rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, on September 15.

However, just days before the Chiefs highly-anticipated Week 2 matchup, Randi shared some devastating news regarding their family.

Randi posted on September 13, "Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well.. his name is Randy." Over a hundred fans replied to Randi's posted, sending their heartfelt prayers.

Randi spent Easter holiday with her father in March. "Priceless time with my family ❤️ God is so Great," Randi captioned the photo, which featured Jackson, Mia, Mahomes, and his two children with wife Brittany Mahomes, Sterling 3, and Bronze, 1.

Randi has already lost one parent. Her mother, Debbie Bates Martin, died at age 72 in April of last year. Her death was tough on Randi, as she's incredibly close with her parents, who raised her in East Texas.

Randi posted on the anniversary of her death, "You will NEVER know how precious your mom's voice is until you can no longer hear it. She was the LOUDEST proudest bestest mom and Nannie ever. I know mom’s is a way better place but my heart aches missing her. Until i see you again momma ❤️."

Last month, Randi paid to tribute to her late mother on Debbie's birthday.

She wrote on Instagram, "Happy birthday momma! I miss you every single day. Until we meet again I pray I will always make you proud. I love you momma ❤️."

🙏 sent. I understand how you're gonna feel lost, Mom, and worried about Dad. My mom and Dad passed away. My Dad was 53 years old, and Mom was 65 years old.
