As the Carolina Panthers gear up for their upcoming matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, several key players have found themselves on the injury report, raising concerns about the team's overall readiness. Punter Johnny Hekker, a key part of the special teams unit, is among those listed as questionable, despite being a full participant during Friday's practice. His involvement in the media-visible portion of practice, where he punted, offers some optimism for his availability.

However, the real questions surround a few critical starters. Tight end Tommy Tremble, right tackle Taylor Moton, and right guard Damien Lewis are all dealing with varying degrees of injuries. Tremble, battling a hamstring and back issue, alongside Moton (back/knee) and Lewis (groin), were all limited in Friday’s practice. Their health is a top concern, as all three are integral to both the offensive line's protection of quarterback Bryce Young and the success of the Panthers' running game. Without their full strength, Carolina’s offense could face significant challenges.

Wide receiver Adam Thielen, who was added to the report with a shoulder issue, practiced fully and doesn’t carry any game status, a relief considering the experience and reliability he brings to the receiving corps. Running back and returner Raheem Blackshear also remains questionable due to personal reasons, though his absence on Friday wasn’t related to an injury. While his role is critical on special teams, the focus remains on the starters who could significantly impact the game.

As game day approaches, the health of these key players will play a pivotal role in how the Panthers perform. Staying healthy is critical, and Carolina's chances could hinge on how many of these questionable starters can take the field.
