At press conferences, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce usually only has to deal with questions about his own team.

However, he was asked a question about a different team on Friday. What advice would he give to Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback for the Miami Dolphins , regarding his latest concussion?

Tagovailoa suffered the concussion in the third quarter of the Dolphins' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. He ran for a first down, then lowered his head while he was tackled by Damar Hamlin.

While he walked off the field with the help of trainers, the immediate reaction from players on the field showed how serious the injury was. It was Tagovailoa's third concussion since the start of the 2022 season.

Pierce is making a very important point here, and he's not the only one making it. A lot of people in the media have brought up the idea of retirement.

Still, the only person who can make that decision is Tagovailoa himself. Retiring this early in his career is something he certainly wouldn't like to do. But as Pierce said, life is more important than football.
