At this point, we all know that the Las Vegas Raiders struggled in their season-opener. The team lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 22-10, and one of the parts of the team that struggled the most was the offensive line.

One of those lineman, Thayer Munford Jr, had some words regarding the team's performance in their first game of the 2024 season.

“I thought we could have done better,” Munford said. "As an offensive line, we know we have to get some stuff going. That’s all that is. If we’re not doing well as a unit, the team isn’t going to do well. I thought individually I was OK, but we all have to be better and that starts with me.”

Munford is largely right that the unit has to get better as a whole. They couldn't get much going in the running game, with Zamir White and Alexander Mattison unable to get anything going behind them.

In the passing game, things weren't much better. Gardner Minshew didn't do well throwing the ball, but he didn't have a ton of time to do so either.

Fortunately, Munford does know where the unit as a whole went wrong, and he knows what they must do to be successful in Sunday's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens .

“It’s pretty different,” Munford said, when talking about short-yardage blocking situations. "The defense is more condensed and in most cases they know what you’re trying to get accomplished. We have to be able to buck up and run them off the ball.”

The Raiders face a very tough matchup against the Ravens on Sunday. Baltimore is heavily favored , and if the Raiders want to have any shot at winning this game, it will start with a good performance from the offensive line.
