The Michigan Wolverines lost 31-12 to Texas football last week in a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicated.

The Wolverines and Coach Sherrone Moore have a Saturday matchup with the Arkansas State Red Wolves on the schedule for Saturday, a game that Wolverines optimists have penciled in as a tune-up for getting back to their winning ways against Lincoln Riley's USC Trojans next week in Ann Arbor.

According to former Florida Gators Coach Steve Spurrier, Michigan fans shouldn't get too optimistic about the rest of the season, based on comments he made to longtime Gainesville (Fla.) Sun columnist Pat Dooley's Another Dooley Noted Podcast .

"That coach (Moore), he doesn't have much of a chance with what (Jim) Harbaugh left him," Spurrier said.

"Thirteen from one team drafted, and something like eight on defense, nine on offense, or something like that. So it'll take them a while to get back to a team like they had last year. "That's for sure."
