After a disappointing performance in Week 2, the Colorado Buffaloes are seeking a bounce-back against an in-state rival that pushed them to double overtime last season.

Colorado suffered a 28-10 defeat against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, their former Big 12 North rival, last weekend. They fell behind 14-0 in the 1st quarter and couldn't recover.

After the game, star quarterback Shedeur Sanders faced criticism for his postgame comments, which seemed to imply that he was taking a shot at his offensive line. When asked about the offensive line in a postgame interview , Sanders said, "I mean, how many times did (Nebraska quarterback Dylan) Raiola get touched?"

This has raised questions about team chemistry. Nick Saban said on Saturday's "College GameDay" that team chemistry will be key for the Buffaloes to turn around the season. Saban said that starts with respect and trust from the team.

"I really think that team chemistry is going to be the real key for that," Saban said. "That's players believing in themselves, players believing in each other, coaches believing in players, players believing in coaches. Because if you don't have that respect and trust in your team, you have a hard time building team chemistry. And when you play on the road at games like this, you need to have a lot of togetherness on your team."

The Buffaloes aim to build their chemistry with a big bounce-back victory as they face the Colorado State Rams on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, on CBS at 7:30 p.m. ET.
