SEPT 14 REGGIE-LIKE? In an interview with Brandon Robinson of Scoopb.com, former Indiana Pacers forward Jonathan Bender described the similarities between Dallas Mavericks forward Klay Thompson and NBA legend Reggie Miller. Miller is the fifth all-time guy in NBA three-point shots, with Thompson trailing by 79 three-point conversions.

But stats aside, it's a high compliment for Thompson, who used free agency this summer to jump from Golden State to Dallas.

During the interview, Bender also discussed the contrasting play styles of Thompson and Miller. For instance, Bender claimed Miller moves more than Thompson. The former Golden State Warriors All-Star benefitted from Stephen Curry's gravity, leading him not to move around the same as Miller.

Miller exerted an extreme amount of energy coming off a multitude of off-ball screens. Bender then stated Thompson reminded him more of Ray Allen, as they share a similar quick release.

SEPT 14 WIGGINS RIP It was controversial at the time ... and obviously understandable now. Andrew Wiggins missed about two months of the 2022-23 NBA season and at the time no one was very forthcoming about why.

Now we know that his father Mitchell was dealing with a serious illness. ... and now Mitchell, a former NBA first-round pick just like his son Andrew, has passed away.

    Mitchell Wiggins was 64.

Andrew Wiggins is now a standout with the Warriors. Mitchell Wiggins, a former NBA first round pick just like his son Andrew, has died at the age of 64.

Mitchell Wiggins was the No. 23 pick in the 1983 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, who traded him to the Bulls on draft night. Wiggins played for the Rockets and 76ers and eventually in Greece, where he was an All-Star.

Our condolences to the Wiggins family at this time.
