Calls Mount for Powerhouse College Football Program to Dismiss Head Coach

The beginning of the 2024 college football season has seen its fair share of surprises, but none compares to the fall of a preseason Top 10 program.

Some of the few teams that have stayed atop the rankings include the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, and Ohio State Buckeyes. A few teams like Clemson and Oregon have seen a fall in the standings.

While they've struggled at the start of the year, no one has caught the attention of fans more than Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles.

Florida State is 0-3 after a loss to the Memphis Tigers.

As the Seminoles struggle to stop Memphis at Doak Campbell Stadium, fans share a consensus on the future of Florida State.

College football fans believe Norvell should be fired as the head coach of the program.

"We legitimately might have to fire Mike Norvell," said one fan.

"Fire coach Mike Norvell," added another fan.

"Should FSU fire Mike Norvell and go after Lane Kiffin before the Gators do?" questioned one fan.

"FIRE MIKE NORVELL," mentiond one fan.

"Mike Norvell's seat is going to be on fire by the end of this game." commented one fan.

"Fire Mike Norvell," explained one fan. "He’s had too many chances, wasted too much of our money, and he DOES NOT LEARN. Things will never get better until that fool is gone. The sooner, the better."

The Seminoles started the year with a brutal loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. They were favored by over a touchdown and lost the game 24-21 in Dublin, Ireland in Week 1.

Following that stunner as the No. 10 team in the country, Florida State suffered another loss to the Boston College Eagles in Week 2. They were favored by over two touchdowns and lost the matchup 28-13.

Norvell has been with the Seminoles since the 2020 season. In his first year in Tallahassee, Norvell led FSU to a 3-6 record.

He gradually helped the program improve, taking it to a 13-0 regular season record in 2023 with an ACC title victory.

Despite the magical 2023 season for the Seminoles, fans believe it's time to pull the plug on Norvell.
