Longtime NFL Exec Predicts Big-Time Upset on Sunday

Any time the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals have met up in recent years, it has been must-watch TV. That'll be the case on Sunday, September 15 when Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow go head-to-head for the fifth time in their young careers.

In an NFL.com bold predictions roundup , former NFL executive and NFL Network analyst Marc Ross picked the Bengals to pull off the biggest "surprise" of Week 2: A big-time upset in Kansas City.

"Cincinnati lost on opening weekend again -- falling to 1-4 in Week 1 in the Joe Burrow era -- struggling badly on offense," Ross wrote. "Meanwhile, Kansas City looked primed to repeat with an impressive win over Baltimore.

"It seems like Sunday's game against the Bengals should be an 'easy' victory for the Chiefs, especially with Tee Higgins likely out again. However, Burrow is 3-1 against Patrick Mahomes and will pull off the surprise of the weekend at Arrowhead."

Ross previously spent 11 seasons in the New York Giants front office, most notably as vice president of player evaluation. He also worked for the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles, where he became the league's youngest college scouting director at 27 years old.

In Week 1, Ross correctly predicted Washington rookie QB Jayden Daniels would outshine Chicago's No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.

The Chiefs and Bengals kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs enter as six-point favorites, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

Never know what will happen. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then. But my money is on the Chiefs. Then the haters will say they won because of the refs. Love the haters. That means we are the best.
