Everyone Had The Same Reaction To Arch Manning's Electric Touchdown Run

Arch Manning didn't take long to adjust to the spotlight after taking over for the injured Quinn Ewers for the Texas Longhorns in Saturday's game against UTSA, throwing for one touchdown and then rushing for an electrifying 67-yard touchdown.

Manning took over in the second quarter after Ewers went down with an unidentified injury. Ewers completed a long pass to tight end Gunnar Helm and appeared to run awkwardly, then fell to the turf after a handoff. Ewers went to the locker room midway through the second quarter, with Manning coming in to take over.

Manning had been one of the most high-profile backups in college football, joining the Longhorns as the top high school recruit but remaining behind the Heisman-frontrunner Ewers.

That changed quickly on Saturday, with Manning taking over and reaching a mark not seen in close to 20 years. As ESPN's SportsCenter noted in a post on X , Manning's touchdown was the longest rushing score for a Texas quarterback since Vince Young in 2005.

Afterward, many fans took to social media to note that Arch Manning seemed to get all of the speed in the family. Though uncles Peyton Manning and Eli Manning had plenty of success as NFL quarterbacks, neither were known for their raw athleticism.

"This has to be the longest touchdown run in Manning Family history! Arch got all the athleticism!" wrote former NFL player and commentator Emmanuel Acho in a post on X .

"Arch Manning: little bit faster than his uncles," added ESPN's Max Olson in a post on X .
