Colorado State Star Facing Intense Backlash After Hit on Travis Hunter

In 2023, the Colorado State-Colorado game was a must-watch with a thrilling 43-35 double-overtime Buffaloes victory in Boulder.

However, the story of the game was Colorado State's Henry Blackburn hitting Travis Hunter. The hit knocked Hunter out of the game and sent him to the hospital, where he was later diagnosed with a lacerated liver .

The two eventually made up, but the Week 3 game in 2024 surely sparked the conversation again. In the fourth quarter, Huter caught a touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders but was shoved hard out of bounds by Blackburn.

The video shows Backburn raising his shoulder and then Hunter going to the ground.

Fans made sure to take note of Blackburn's hit, and they were not happy about it.

"Henry Blackburn SUCKSSSSS," said a fan on X .

"Blackburn clearly didn’t learn from last year with them late hits," another wrote .

Another fan wrote on X , "This guy Henry Blackburn just can’t help himself can he."

"Henry Blackburn and the @CSUFootball team are dirty," said a frustrated fan. "That’s just dirt mixed with frustration because you’re irrelevant."

After the 2023 matchup. Blackburn received death threats for the hit on Hunter, so fans are definitely concerned with another controversial hit by the Colorado State safety.

It was a rough night for Blackburn, who was burned multiple times as Colorado got the easy 28-9 win in Fort Collins.

However, Henry Blackburn made headlines once again, and not for good reasons.
