Deion Sanders Calls Out Colorado State QB for 'Stupid' Behavior

The Colorado Buffaloes traveled to Fort Collins to play the Colorado State Rams in the "Rocky Mountain Showdown" for their Week 3 matchup.

Similar to 2023's meeting between the two teams, there was a lot of talking before and during the game. While most people view Colorado as one of the more boisterous teams in college football, it was actually Colorado State that did most of the talking.

One of the main culprits was quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, who took a jab at the team when speaking to the media earlier in the week and was also getting chippy during the game. With the Rams down 14-3 in the second quarter, Fowler-Nicolosi made the " too small" gesture at Colorado's two-way star, Travis Hunter.

A moment he may regret, and one that Colorado head coach Deion Sanders called "stupid" after the game.

"How stupid is that," said Sanders when asked about the taunt. "This is Travis Hunter. This is Travis Hunter. This is Travis Hunter. Like who does that? I wouldn't allow my kids to do that and y'all know that. And that ought to be said.

"But when you allow kids to sit in an interview and talk against us," said Sanders. "And you just got beat by 50-something in Week 1. Cmon dog. Somebody help me here. Am I missing something? Straight up. Tell me. I don't see where that's done in sports. That has to be allowed. Nobody is crazy enough to sit up here and say nothing like that. Who does that?"

While Sanders mostly discussed how foolish it was for Fowler-Nicolosi to do what he did during and before the game, he also clearly took a subtle jab at Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell and what he allows his players to do.

Both Fowler-Nicolosi and Rams' star receiver Tory Horton had some spicy comments leading up to the Week 3 game, as Horton said the Rams should have "murdered" Colorado in 2023. As for Fowler-Nicolosi, he decided to take a jab at Colorado and their social media following.

"We’ll see how far Instagram followers gets them," said Fowler-Nicolosi earlier in the week.

While the followers didn't play in the game, they did watch the Buffs obliterate the Rams. Colorado went on to win by a score of 28-9, and the cherry on top for Hunter was that he ended up securing his first pick of the year, which came via Fowler-Nicolosi.

This rivalry will be put on ice for a bit, as the two teams don't play for another five years. The Buffs will now turn their attention to Baylor.

He literally lets his kids talk like that all the time. He’s the biggest hypocrite there is. I guess Deion no one remembers a week earlier your son talking shit saying we’re going to roll you to Nebraska. Dude is full of shit

Deion is talking about what other teams players do 😂. Colorado may be the most undisciplined group in college football. That dude is such a joke
