Arch Manning‘s Father, Cooper Manning, Makes Personal Confession After Texas Game

Cooper Manning, the father of Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, made a bold statement about his son following Texas' game against UTSA.

Given the storied NFL legacy of the Manning family, it's no surprise that Arch Manning is as talented as he is. Arch Manning is the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, and the grandson is Archie Manning.

In Texas' dominant 56-7 win on Saturday against UTSA, Arch Manning had the best game of his young career. Starting quarterback Quinn Ewers suffered an abdomen injury in the second quarter and was forced to miss the remainder of the game.

Arch Manning entered in place of Ewers and went on to complete 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for a 67-yard touchdown .

Following the game, Cooper Manning shared an Instagram post referencing his son's rushing touchdown, where he clocked at 20.7 mph .

"Definitely got his speed from mom," he captioned it.

The Manning family may be known for their elite quarterback play, but Peyton and Eli Manning were never fast runners.

It's unclear how serious Ewers' injury is. If he can't play in Week 4 against Lousiana-Monroe, Arch Manning will make his first career start.

Kickoff for that one is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
