College Football World Reacts to New No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll for Week 4

There is a new No. 1 ranked team in college football's AP Poll. For the first time in 16 years, the Texas Longhorns are the nation's top ranked team in the country.

Texas has earned the ranking with dominant play through three games.

The Longhorns are outscoring opponents 139-19 despite having faced a tough road matchup against the Michigan Wolverines. After a 24 point first half, the Longhorns cruised to a 31-12 victory over the Wolverines.

An injury to Quinn Ewers didn't slow down the Texas offense in Week 4. Ewers left Saturday's game with an abdominal strain after completing 14 of 16 passes for 185 yards against UTSA.

Backup quarterback Arch Manning came into the game to pass for four touchdowns and 223 yards, adding a 67-yard touchdown on the ground.

Social media had some strong reaction to Sunday's Top 25 rankings. One account seemed to agree with the ranking. He shared, "Texas is absolutely deserving of the No. 1 spot."

Another individual posted about the Longhorns' return to the top ranking with what was once used as a satirical catch phrase. The account posted, "Texas is back Folks."

Whether or not the Longhorns are truly back is still to be seen, but they certainly look different than past Texas teams.

Georgia and Ohio State fans were not impressed with the ranking. Both teams have struggled at various points this season, but have the talent to contend for the title.

One Georgia fan replied to the rankings, "and the doubting begins." An Ohio State fan posted, "They hate Ohio State!"

Texas looks to hold onto its No. 1 ranking against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on Saturday.
