The Dallas Cowboys got off to a hot start in 2024 with a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.

However, they saw stars in the first half of Sunday's Week 2 home opener against the New Orleans Saints.

Dallas trailed 35-13 at the half after a three-touchdown performance by Saints running back Alvin Kamara. Overall, New Orleans posted 310 yards of offense on five drives despite less than 12 minutes of possession.

Fans of the Cowboys were less than thrilled with the development, calling for the immediate dismissal of the coaching staff, particularly head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

"If the Cowboys lose to the Saints today. McCarthy should be fired and Jones should resign," one fan wrote .

"This is a 9-8 Cowboys team. Hopefully it get Mike McCarthy fired," another echoed .

"Mike Zimmer should be fired tomorrow. That is the worst half of defense in Dallas Cowboys franchise history," added another.

"Saints dominating the Cowboys in the 'If our season isn't a success our coach will be fired' Bowl," wrote another fan.

Dallas' path forward doesn't get much easier before their Week 7 bye week. Jerry Jones and company are slated to take on the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants (away), Pittsburgh Steelers (away) and Detroit Lions over the next four weeks.
