Midway through the third quarter of the San Francisco 49ers game at the Minnesota Vikings, tight end George Kittle left the game on a cart and was taken to the locker room. Kittle led the team in receptions and receiving yards before his injury. He had caught five passes for 56 yards and scored the lone touchdown for the 49ers.

This injury comes after Christian McCaffrey was placed on the injured reserve and will miss action through at least Week 5 of the season.

The 30-year-old that played at the University of Iowa was a 5th round pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the 49ers.

The injury also compounds to the struggles that quarterback Brock Purdy has had in this game. The signal caller threw two interceptions early in the game, and Minnesota picked up five sacks.

Fans obviously became very concerned with the news regarding the defending NFC Champions.  The struggles in Minnesota, compounded with another injury, has fans on social media growing very concerned.

Initially, the injury was unknown, but Adam Schefter later reported he was carted off to get an IV and it was cramps.

Obviously, cramps would be best case scenario for the 49ers following the initial scare.
