Caitlin Clark balled out once again on Sunday, September 15, as she led the Indiana Fever to a much-needed win over the Dallas Wings, 110-109.

The Fever came into this one on a two-game losing streak after suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of the two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces. Clark knew that she had to do something to help get her team back to winning ways, and she responded with arguably her best performance of the season.

Clark dropped a career-high 35 points all over Dallas on 10-of-22 from the field and 6-of-14 from distance en route to setting a new WNBA record for the most points by a rookie in a single season (761 and counting). She also added two rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 36 minutes of action.

After the game, a hyped Caitlin Clark sent a strong message to the Fever fans, who themselves came through yet again on Sunday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

"They were crazy, they were wild," she said. "... Hopefully we can bring the playoffs back here for them. Let's go!"

Clark kept it short and sweet, but she has now come out with a bold declaration about the Fever's upcoming playoff stint. This will be the first time Indiana will be in the postseason since 2018, which is why the excitement from the fans has been overwhelming.

There's a lot of pressure on the squad to perform come playoff time, but there's no denying that the spotlight will be on Clark. At this point, however, it is clear that she is more than ready for the challenge ahead, and her bold promise to the fans speaks volumes.

After Sunday's win, the Fever remain sixth in the WNBA with a 20-19 record. If the playoffs started today, Indiana would battle the third-placed Connecticut Sun in a best-of-three first-round series.

In the first round of the WNBA Playoffs, the higher seed gets to host the first two games of the series, which means that the Fever might not get a chance to play at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the postseason. Clark and Co. will do everything in their power to make sure this is not the case.
