Everyone's Saying the Same Thing About Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift After Bengals-Chiefs Game

During the Kansas City Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, tight end Travis Kelce caught just three passes for 34 yards.

There was no immediate cause for concern over Kelce's performance, as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes finding success throwing the ball to multiple receivers is never a bad thing.

However, Kelce made even less of an impact against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15, during which Kansas City eked out a 26-25 win. Kelce recorded just one catch for five yards against the Bengals.

The All-Pro almost registered a 41-yard catch in the fourth quarter, but an offensive holding call on rookie Kingsley Suamataia made it null and void. However, in such a close game, fans expected more from Kelce, whom the Chiefs made the highest-paid tight end in the NFL before the season started.

At age 35, fans are questioning what he has left in the tank, if anything as he plays in his 12th season.

One person posted , "Travis Kelce is washed," a sentiment shared by numerous fans after the game. One man posted , "Travis Kelce should’ve went out with a chip and retired last season, this isn’t how you should finish your career."

Some fans tried to blame Kelce's lackluster performance on Taylor Swift, claiming his performance fell off once he started dating the pop star; however, that's nonsense.

Swift and Kelce started dating over a year ago. The only reason he didn't notch his eighth consecutive season with over 1,000 yards last season was because he chose to sit out Week 18, finishing the year just 16 yards short of the historic mark

During the Chiefs playoff run to becoming back-to-back Super Bowl champions, Kelce caught 32-of-37 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns.

Kelce will look to turn things around when the Chiefs travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons in Week 3.
