The Cincinnati Bengals weren't quiet on the field or off of it after a last-second loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 15.

Referees flagged Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase for unsportsmanlike conduct following his fiery response to what he believed was a missed face-mask call during the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs ended getting the ball back and marching down the field for a game-winning 51-yard field goal off the foot of kicker Harrison Butker , which was set up by a pass interference call on Cincinnati's secondary on a fourth-and-long play. Had Kansas City failed to covert on that play, the game would have been effectively over.

Former Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh took to social media in the aftermath of the loss and went wild on the referees, accusing them of "terrible calls" and intentionally handing the Chiefs the victory.

"B**** a** refs miss a big call & throws a flag on Chase," Houshmandzadeh wrote . "Players get fined but refs get AWAY with a bunch of TERRIBLE CALLS."

    And he wasn't finished there.

"Give every game to the Chiefs rest of season," Houshmandzadeh wrote in a follow-up post . "Refs in their favor every game. Why play the game if we know results beforehand?"

Kansas City went on to win the contest by a score of 26-25 and move to 2-0 on the season, while Cincinnati fell to 0-2.
