The Indiana Fever had to work for their win against the Dallas Wings on Sunday, September 15. Caitlin Clark and Co. may have come into the game as the favorites to win on their home floor, but the Wings did not go down without a fight.

In the end, Indiana secured a much-needed 110-109 victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which marks their first win in three games. It is safe to say, however, that Dallas pushed them to the edge in this one.

Talking about pushing and shoving, Wings star Teaira McCowan was involved in a heated altercation with Clark and a couple of other Fever players at one point in the game. This was after the Dallas center shoved Fever forward Aliyah Boston from behind.

Clark, along with teammate Temi Fagbenle quickly reacted as they came to Boston's defense.

Both Clark and Fagbenle rushed to protect Boston after she was shoved by McCowan. Aliyah didn't even get a chance to confront McCowan as her Indiana teammates were already standing in her way.

McCowan clearly wasn't happy with Clark's intervention here, as she walked away after appearing to speak to the Fever rookie.

The Dallas center was hit with a technical foul for instigating the fracas, which, fortunately, did not escalate further.

This just goes to show how the Fever players are willing to go to battle for each other. It's all for one and one for all for this squad, and despite their youthful exuberance, it is clear that these ladies are no pushovers.

Yet she, McCowen, doesn’t turn towards 6’4” 180 lbs. Temi Fagbenle, who also got in her face like Clark was.
