The Kansas City Chiefs are likely feeling pretty good after two incredibly impressive wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals to start the 2024 season. However, they got hit with some injury news on Monday morning that is sure to cause a pit in the stomach.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapaport, running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula during the Chiefs' win on Sunday and is likely to miss some extensive time going forward.

Rapaport says that Pacheco will end up on Injured Reserve for the ailment, which means he will at least miss the next four weeks of the season, and potentially more.

When Pacheco went down against the Bengals on the play where the injury occurred, it appeared that he got rolled up on and caught underneath the pile. Here's a video of the play.

Pacheco has been a big part of the Chiefs' offense so far this year. He had 19 rushes for 90 yards on Sunday, and 135 yards plus one touchdown on the season.

With Pacheco now sidelined for the next several weeks at the very least, Kansas City will turn to Samaje Perine and Carson Steele to shoulder the load in the backfield.
