Denver Broncos' rookie quarterback Bo Nix faced difficulties in the team's 13-6 Week 2 defeat on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has not thrown a passing touchdown in his first two NFL starts.

Nix had an opportunity to score for the Broncos in the second half. Denver was advancing down the field and had reached the Steelers' 6-yard-line in the third quarter.

On second down near the goal line, Nix tried to connect with wide receiver Courtland Sutton in the end zone, but Cory Trice Jr. of Pittsburgh intercepted the ball.

By game's end, he completed 20 out of 35 passes for 246 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions, and also led Denver in rushing with 25 yards on four carries.

Post-game, when a reporter requested Nix to describe the play, he responded succinctly.

"Uh, yeah. Dropped back. Threw it to the other team," Nix said .

That interception marked Nix's fourth of the season, as he had been contending with reading defenses and making forced throws early in his career. Nix, who seemed particularly frustrated with that throw, chose not to elaborate further after the game.

After two games, Nix has completed 46 of 77 passes for a success rate of 59.7%. He does have a rushing touchdown to his tally, scoring it during the team's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

As for his first passing touchdown as a Bronco, he will look to achieve it in Week 3 on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. ET.

To be fair it was the second time he was asked the question in that conference.
