First Jets Win Of Season 'Feels Great!' For Aaron Rodgers

It won't win any awards for aesthetics, but the New York Jets' 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans was just what head coach Robert Saleh needed.

After a poor Week 1 outing against the San Francisco 49ers, the Jets bounced back in a scrappy encounter to get their first win of the year.

While it needed a stellar Aaron Rodgers drive in the fourth quarter to take the lead, New York will be pleased at outlasting the Titans.

And for Rodgers, getting the first win of the year is a good feeling.

“It feels great feels,” Rodgers said . “I hadn't had that in a long time, being able to have that interview on the field after the game means you won means, you know played halfway decent. So to get a win these are kind of the games you look back on late in the season you're thankful that you won these because if we want to be a great team, we got to win in these type [of] environments against teams like that.”

While Rodgers didn't light up the stat sheet (18/30, 176 yards, 2 TDs), it was his two young running backs who did the damage.

Breece Hall had 62 yards from 14 carries, while rookie Braelon Allen totaled 33 rushing yards and a touchdown from seven carries and also had two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown in a superb display.

So the Jets feel like they have their teeth into the season now, and up next is their home opener against the New England Patriots as they look to make it back-to-back wins.
