Caitlin Clark Has Blunt Opinion on Aliyah Boston 'Babysitting' Her

The suspension watch for Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is now over after a close win over the Dallas Wings on Sept. 15.

Clark has accumulated six technical fouls this season. But even if she gets whistled for her seventh, which automatically merits a one-game suspension, in their last game against the Washington Mystics, she would not be penalized since the totals reset at the start of the playoffs.

Fever coach Christie Sides lauded her other players for watching out for Clark, who can be mercurial at times because of her competitive edge.

"They all know what's at stake with Caitlin, and they know she's doing incredible things," Sides said in a report from I ndyStar's Dana Hunsinger Benbow . "She's just special and these guys know that's her passion, that's her fire.

"They all know when she's reached that point and when we need to have a little assistance to come out there."

Instead of Clark, it was Fever center Aliyah Boston who got called for a technical foul in the last second of the game against the Wings.

The 22-year-old Clark found it amusing.

"She's the one babysitting me and then somehow she ends up with a technical, and she didn't really do anything," Clark said in the same report. "She was just standing there so that's what was funny to me."

Clark went off for a career-high 35 points on top of eight assists and three steals. Boston, meanwhile, had an all-around outing of 15 points, six rebounds and six assists, as the Fever improved to 20-19.

They will face the Mystics on Sept. 19 to close out the regular season.
