Is Baker Mayfield the 'Perfect QB' for the Bucs?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to get the win in Week 2 of the regular season, and it is due in no small part to the fantastic play from their star field general, Baker Mayfield.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report , they look at what the biggest takeaways are from each game in Week 2. For the Buccaneers, he thinks that Mayfield has proven that he is the "perfect" quarterback for them.

"Thanks in no small part to two strong performances by Mayfield, the Bucs are now 2-0 and tied with the New Orleans Saints at the top of the division," Bleacher Report writes. "Mayfield, who has repeatedly been counted out since his 2022 exodus from Cleveland, is exactly the sort of gritty underdog leader the Buccaneers need."

The team faced the Washington Commanders in Week 1 of the regular season, but they faced a much tougher opponent yesterday when they battled against the Detroit Lions.

He may have had an interception, but it was a great play from young safety Brian Branch to jump up and get the pick. Other than that, Mayfield had a solid game, finishing with 185 passing yards and a touchdown on 12 for 19 passing.

His play led the Buccaneers to start out the regular season 2-0 for the fourth year in a row, and it has made them one of the teams to watch going forward.
