Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made a major admission about his former teammate Jason Kelce.

Hurts is now in his fifth NFL season, but first without his six-time First-team All-Pro center in Kelce. Kelce retired from football this past offseason after playing 13 seasons in the league, all with the Eagles.

In 2024, Philadelphia moved Cam Jurgens over from right guard to fill Kelce's position. He was originally drafted as a center in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. In his three-year career, Jurgens has played in 29 games.

Kelce is now working for ESPN's "Monday Night Football," and in Week 2, his former team is scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons.

Ahead of the game, Kelce sat down to interview Hurts and check in since he's no longer with the team. In the conversation, Hurts made a major admission about his former center.

"I do miss you," he said. "I'm just going to tell you this, that it's a great feeling to be missed. And I think that speaks to the impact, the presence, your tenure, the experiences. You had a lot of guys that fed off of that. A lot of people don't get their flowers when they're here. But I told you how many times I've appreciated you."

Hurts then went on to explain the connection that he and Jurgens are forming.

"He's doing a great job," Hurts added. "We've had a lot of work at it, a lot of conversations at it. Just getting on the same page, and kind of putting this thing together. We're all assembling with new partners. We all got a new flow... It just takes that extra effort, just being mindful of that so you can know what you need to put forward in certain areas."

In his career, Hurts has thrown for 12,042 yards and 69 touchdowns and rushed for 2,536 yards and 41 touchdowns.

Kickoff on Monday is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
