Paul Finebaum Names SEC School As 'Worst Team' In College Football

It has not been a promising start for Jeff Lebby as the new head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The team has a 1-2 record and is coming off a 41-17 defeat to Toledo.

Lebby was the offensive coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners for the past two seasons, and before that, he held the same position for the Ole Miss Rebels. He is known for his high-powered offense, which hasn't been reflected in his current role at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs currently rank No. 82 in total offense and No. 59 in scoring offense.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum stated on "The Matt Barrie Show" that he believes the Bulldogs are the worst team in college football.

"Mississippi State, they might be the worst team in the country," Finebaum said.

Barrie followed up by saying he wondered what Mississippi State would do next after their embarrassing loss to Toledo at home. The Bulldogs face a tough schedule ahead, with three of their next four games against ranked opponents, including the top two ranked teams in the country. Additionally, both of those tough games are on the road.

The Bulldogs will conclude the season with three consecutive games against top seven teams in the country, two of which will be on the road. It seems unlikely that things will improve for the Bulldogs in the remainder of the year.
