The Indiana Fever's 110-109 victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday, September 15, did not come without incident. In the dying seconds of the fourth quarter, Wings center Teaira McCowan was ejected after being assessed with her second technical foul. This was following a heated altercation with Indiana star Aliyah Boston, who was also called for a tech for her role in the incident.

While Boston was able to stay on the floor to finish out the game, more than a few WNBA fans could not help but call her out for supposedly being the instigator here. In the video clip below, the Fever All-Star is seen tugging on the arm of McCowan, which appears to be what prompted a heated reaction from the Dallas center.

Caitlin Clark and Temi Fagbenle had to intervene as both Fever players attempted to deescalate the situation.

For the fans, however, a lot of them had to point out that Boston was far from innocent in this incident. In fact, some of them even went as far as accusing Aliyah as a dirty player.

"aliyah be playing dirty and she gone meet her match one of these days fr," a comment read.

"and she plays that innocent nerdy girl so well you wouldn’t even notice fr," observed a user.

"Lmfao she really probably is the problem lowkey 😭☠️" a reaction read.

"I’ve been saying this for a while… But there’s no way so many people have an issue with her and she’s as innocent as everyone tries to make her seem…" expressed a viewer.

"I actually despise AB so much You can see AB pulling her arms and acting shocked she reacted that way like she didn’t know what she just did," said another.

"Because she’s a dirty player.. that’s it that’s all. Then plays victim," declared a critic.

As some of the tweets above pointed out, this is far from the first time Boston has been involved in an incident with opposing players.

Earlier this season, the Fever star also found herself in a similar situation involving two-time Defensive Player of the Year Brittney Griner of the Phoenix Mercury.

In another incident, Boston exchanged words with 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones during a game against the New York Liberty.

In the clip below, Jones is clearly unhappy with Boston's physical play, and the Liberty center just had to make her feelings known.

Whatever the case might be, the fact of the matter is that it was McCowan, and not Boston, who was thrown out of Sunday's contest. The Fever forward/center finished with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block to help her team secure a much-needed win.

Love her or hate her, there's no denying that Boston has been and will be an integral part of whatever success the Fever will achieve this season and beyond.

I started the season watching the WNBA, especially Caitlin Clark, but my interest has wained with all the ridiculous technical fouls, racist comments and bullshit behavior. Not something I want to waste my time on anymore.....
