Giants Work Out Kickers After Disastrous Weekend

It took a week and a failed coaching decision on Sunday, but the New York Giants have finally realized they need another kicker on their roster.

With Graham Gano dealing with a leg injury that stemmed from a groin concern in practice last week (and later turned to a hamstring injury during their Week 2 contest) New York has worked out four kickers over the last couple of days.

Tanner Brown, Randy Bullock, Zane Gonzalez, and Riley Patterson all worked out for the Giants Monday afternoon. Of the four, only Patterson and Bullock attempted kicks last season for teams.

Patters went 16-18 kicking for both the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions during the 2023 run. Bullock spent time with the Giants and went 5-6 from field goal range as well.

While New York continues to try and find solutions to their kicking game, their inaction has already cost them a victory once this year.

In the Giants' 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders, Gano went into the game with an injury, but then hurt himself even more once the game started.

The Giants, in turn, became the first team in 30 years to score three touchdowns, not give up a score, and still lose the game.

At least now New York is ready to admit their mistakes.
