Deion Sanders Draws Strong Reaction From Colorado's Week 4 Opponent

Baylor won't supply Deion Sanders and Colorado any bulletin board material for their Big 12 clash on Saturday.

The Buffaloes are fresh off a heated rivalry matchup with Colorado State, filled with trash talk, animosity, and plenty of disrespect. Leading 28-9 late in the game, Colorado kept pushing, attempting to pad the score with late throws. After the final whistle, quarterback Shedeur Sanders added to the tension, opting not to shake the hand of Rams' QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi.

Baylor coach Dave Aranda kept it respectful when discussing his Bears' Week 4 matchup against Sanders and Colorado, avoiding anything that could be construed as smack talk.

"I have a lot of respect for him. The energy, notoriety and the juice that he's brought to that program," Aranda said . "We're going into a homecoming game for them and it's going to be packed. It's nationally televised and it's probably not for us, it's probably for them. He's doing a great job. I have a lot of respect for him."

Aranda also shared some thoughts on Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, who has 999 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions through three games.

"I have a lot of respect offensively for what they do," Aranda said. "The quarterback makes some really hard throws. If he knows what you're in, he eats you up and the throws are out before the turns are made and before the coverage has a chance to work a leverage or any of that. Once he knows, it's bad for the defense."

Baylor and Colorado have not played each other since 2010. Colorado leads the all-time series 9-7. Per ESPN BET, the Buffaloes are a 2-point favorite for the clash.
