Tua Tagovailoa's Mom Hot Opinion on Quarterback's Future After Injury vs. Bills

Following the Buffalo Bills' Thursday night matchup against the Miami Dolphins, a lot of the discourse around the NFL has been related to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after he suffered a serious concussion in the second half. While reports are stating that Tagovailoa has no plans to retire after suffering his third-known concussion in as many years, his mother reportedly has her own thoughts.

According to reports, Tagovailoa's mother, Diane, is pushing for her son to hang up his cleats and retire from football.

This likely won't come as much of a surprise to many, as his mother simply wants the best for her son's long-term mental health. However, despite her thoughts, Tagovailoa is reportedly still seeking advice from medical experts on when he can return to play, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

"Tua Tagovailoa has no plans to retire," said Rapoport. "He’s already begun seeing concussion specialists and will continue to do so, but there is no timeline to return. Tua will be back when he and his doctors deem him healthy and ready."

While Tagovailoa clearly wants to retake the field and continue to play the sport he loves, his mother isn't the only one that is urging him to retire. Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce and NFL legend Tony Gonzalez have both advised that Tagovailoa retire as well for the sake of his family and his own personal health.

There is currently no timeline for Tagovailoa's return, so it's unclear if he will be starting for Miami the next time they face the Bills on Nov. 3.

Personally, I feel Tua wants to change the narrative about him before he retires. It may not be in the best interest of his health and family, but I understand the competitor in him.
