There's no doubt that the 2024 WNBA season has been a massive success for the league, thanks in large part to star rookies like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese coming in and making an immediate impact for their respective teams.

It's safe to say that the league is growing at quite a fast rate, and as a result, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more teams begin popping up across the league.

The WNBA is already adding the Golden State Valkyries to the league in 2025 and an unnamed Toronto team in 2026, but it doesn't seem like they are stopping there. On Tuesday morning, the league's official X, formerly known as Twitter, account shared a seven-word announcement that teased the addition of more expansion teams.

Unsurprisingly, this quickly sent fans into a frenzy, as they began to try to predict which city would be home to the WNBA's newest expansion franchise(s).

Recent reports have suggested that Portland could end up being the next city to receive an expansion team, but of course, your fans won't know for sure until an official announcement comes out.

It's clear the league is working on another expansion, though, and fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what the meaning of this teaser ends up being.
