USA gymnast Jordan Chiles is fighting to get her Olympic bronze medal back.

The 23-year-old filed an official appeal with the Swiss Federal Tribunal on Monday in hopes the governing body will overturn the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s previous ruling that voided Chiles’ score inquiry that won her the bronze medal during the floor exercise at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which subsequently led to the medal being awarded to Romanian Ana Barbosu.

USA Gymnastics released a statement once the appeal was officially filed in support of Chiles’ decision to take legal action, but it was what the organization said on its official X account that caught the attention of gymnastics fans.

“Been that girl, still THAT GIRL,” the post read with a photo of a smiling Chiles wearing her bronze medal in Paris.

The post as an obvious tip of the cap to Chiles’ trademark phrase “I’m that girl," showing USAG's approval of the gymnast fighting to get back a medal that was unfairly taken from her.

Video of the score inquiry in question that Chiles reportedly submitted as evidence in her Swiss Federal Tribunal appeal made its way to social media. The video clearly shows USA coach Cecile Landi submitting multiple score inquiries well within the one-minute window to do so during the event.

Chiles had been out of the public eye for nearly three weeks after her medal was stripped from her by the International Olympics Committee and given to Barbosu, but in the last 10 days, she’s started to make more and more public appearances.

She was honored at a Houston Astros game along with fellow Olympian Simone Biles, and she threw out the first pitch at a recent New York Mets game as well.

Chiles has been busy over the last week, appearing at New York Fashion Week, announcing a new brand partnership with Vaseline and setting out on the road for Biles’ Gold Over America Tour.
