Tom Brady Didn’t Hesitate When Naming the Best NFL Team After Week 2

For former NFL superstar quarterback Tom Brady, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the top team to beat in the league after two weeks in the 2024 regular season.

Brady put Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on top of his personal power rankings heading into the third week of the campaign, believing that until a team out there defeats the reigning Super Bowl champs, Kansas City should be viewed as No. 1 overall.

“Again, for two weeks in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 2-0 start. Wasn’t their prettiest win against Cincinnati, but great teams find ways to win, Brady said.

“Until you beat the champs, they’re still going to be number one in my book,” Brady added.

The Chiefs have passed two tough tests already. Kansas City kicked off its Super Bowl defense with a 27-20 win against the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 1 before escaping by the skin of their teeth in a 26-25 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, which was also at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

While the Chiefs are undefeated and have the respect of Brady, they are not without issues. They are in the bottom half of the NFL with 22.5 points allowed per game and their four turnovers through two games are tied for second-most overall.

That being said, the Chiefs’ 2-0 record says a lot about how great they are at finding ways to win even when they’re not playing at their best.
