While it certainly seemed like an unusual interaction between the Jets' star quarterback and head coach, it turned out to be much ado about nothing.

In his postgame press conference, Aaron Rodgers explained that there were no issues or awkwardness between them.

“Awkward? No it was not really awkward at all,” said a smiling Rodgers.

Rodgers continued, “He’s not a big hugger usually so I didn't know he was going for the hug. He likes to do the two-handed chest push as well. He talks a lot about two score leads so I just kinda pushed and said two score lead, that's what happened.”

Robert Saleh also chuckled as he recounted the "incident," or lack thereof.

“Yeah, part of the things that we’ve been talking about is just giving the defense a two-score lead, and it was a two-score lead so I guess he just wanted to see something on defense. So, he just reminded me that he got a two-score lead,” said Saleh.
