Terrell Owens Sends 2-Word Complaint to NFL Referees During Bengals-Commanders

Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Terrell Owens has never shied away from speaking his mind.

So when the ex-San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys wideout saw some egregious penalty calls during the Cincinnati Bengals-Washington Commanders matchup on “Monday Night Football,” he couldn’t help but speak up.

Owens took to social media to voice his frustration with the seeming inconsistencies that have plagued NFL officiating crews through the first three weeks of the season, calling on NFL officials to do something about it.

“Watching the @Bengals @Commanders game and These #NFLREFS @OfficialNFLRef need a refresher course on PASS INTERFERENCE!” Owens tweeted. “Yesterday it was the missed PI during the @Chiefs @AtlantaFalcons game!! Com’on @NFL!!! @OfficialNFLRef.”

Of the seven penalties called in Monday’s Bengals-Commanders game, just one was for pass interference despite there being a handful of plays where PI seemed blatantly obvious, particularly when Commanders safety Jeremy Chinn grabbed Bengals receiver Tee Higgins from behind well before the ball reached him, costing Cincy a two-point conversion.

After the missed pass interference call against the Chiefs in Sunday’s 22-17 win over the Falcons — a play that cost Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts a would-be touchdown in the end zone — NFL officials are being watched under a microscope and ripped to shreds on social media.

It's no longer a sport, the NFL is considered sports entertainment like pro wrestling.

It only counts if it helps the Chiefs
