Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes may have their fair share of critics, but UCF head coach Gus Malzahn isn’t one of them.

Malzahn and UCF will host Colorado on Saturday for a Week 5 clash. The Buffaloes are 3-1 and coming in with momentum following a thrilling overtime victory against Baylor.

Coming off a bye week, Malzahn had his eyes on Colorado and watched closely as they battled back to down the Bears.

"Watched them Saturday night, real impressive winand the way they won. You look at their offense, they have playmakers," Malzahn said . "I think it starts with their quarterback (Shedeur Sanders). He does a good job of throwing the ball vertically down the field and he can extend plays. He's been very impressive throwing to his right and his left. He's got speed at receiver and some playmakers at the skill positions."

The veteran coach admitted he's become a fan of Sanders and his approach, noting that the two aren't all that different.

"What I admire about him is that he does it his way," Malzahn said. "This is a deal where you look at college football as entertainment and the juice and attention he brings to our league I think is really good. He does it his way and I'm an old high school coach so I do it my way; I'm a little bit different, too. He has his team playing well and he's doing a good job."

Malzahn's Knights are a hefty 14.5-point favorite against Colorado, per ESPN BET .

The only clash that happening will be Colorado getting crushed. The rest of the season is going to be really rough for CU.
