Trevor Lawrence admitted after a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills that he needs to play better going forward, but the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback may not get that chance.

The Jaguars fell to 0-3 after a 47-10 loss to the Bills on September 23, with Lawrence struggling to move the offense. The Jaguars quarterback completed 21-of-38 passes for 178 yards with one touchdown and one interception before being pulled in the fourth quarter in favor of backup Mac Jones.

Lawrence said after the game that he needs to play better.

"That's the NFL: The quarterback has to play well every week to give yourself a shot to win, and I don't feel like I've done that consistently enough, so I put that on myself, and I've got to play better," Lawrence said .

Speaking to reporters after the game, Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson could not commit to keeping Lawrence as the starter and shared a cryptic statement hinting at changes ahead.

"You say everything is on the table, we've got to take a look at injury," he said . "Tonight, we had some guys injured. Could be moved that way. Could be performance. It's all things we have to evaluate as we move forward."

Lawrence is completing just 47.5% of his passes this season, throwing for 432 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He has also been sacked 10 times, including some against the Bills where he held the ball too long.

The Jaguars coach refused to single Lawrence out. When asked if the quarterback needs to play better, Pederson said it was a top-to-bottom issue in the organization.

"I need everybody to coach and play better. Let's leave it at that," Pederson said.

Miami will take him in a minute! Surround him with playmakers and a respectable O line and a defence that can hold a lead, a good QB coach and he will be all pro!

It is not Trevor. Your coaching is. o good. The team is playing like high school. your plays are like college and high school together. There is o team work. Each player is playing for himself. The offense and defense are bad. QB is running for his life. No one is protecting him.Coach, get your stuff together. You are the worse problem.
