Embarrassing Loss For Jaguars Manages to Get Worse After Game

The Jacksonville Jaguars were flat-out awful against the Buffalo Bills on the national stage of "Monday Night Football" in a game that was long gone by halftime, with Josh Allen and Co. leading 34-3.

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence, once seen by some as a near lock to turn the franchise around, was pretty dreadful, throwing for just 178 yards to go along with a touchdown and an interception directly into the hands of Damar Hamlin .

With the Bills cruising with great ease to a 47-10 victory, most of Buffalo's key starters were able to enjoy the majority of the fourth quarter as spectators.

When things go as horribly as they did for the Jaguars, it tends to have a ripple effect, like not being able to leave Buffalo. And that's exactly what happened.

Just imagine losing by 37 points, falling to a record of 0-3, and hopping aboard the team plane only to learn that four-hour flight you're about to embark on won't be landing until early Tuesday morning.

The Jaguars were obviously already preparing for a short week but it managed to get even shorter, as there's no doubt some scheduling adjustments had to be made for Tuesday's practice, film session(s), and any additional evaluations.

So could it get any worse? For Jacksonville, of course it could. In Week 4 they have the unfortunate privilege of playing on the road again, this time in Houston to play a Texans team that will likely be especially hungry following a surprising 34-7 blowout loss to the Vikings in Week 3.

The additional cherry on top of all of that is former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence is about to experience a week of some truly brutal criticism that was already taking place in real time .

Pair that with an apparent angry owner and the inevitable forthcoming questions about head coach Doug Pederson and, yes, the Jaguars about to have themselves quite the week—and with little sleep.
