Jerry Jones Responds to Video of Him Making Controversial Joke About Player's...Size

The Dallas Cowboys are known for building their team through the draft, cautiously and carefully combing through player attributes and measurements before making their selection.

Some of the details they take into account are, as it would appear, personal.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded Tuesday to a question about a viral live video posted by actor and comedian Jamie Foxx while taking in a team practice alongside Jones.

Jones, apparently unaware that he was being filmed, listed off a player's weight, height and 40-yard dash time before listing another item.

"Eight-and-a-half inch (manhood)," Jones appeared to say in the clip that has been viewed millions of times online.

Jones talked about the controversial video during his appearance on 105.3 The Fan. He tried to minimize the impact of the subject matter.

"[Foxx is] a great friend," Jones said , per Clarence Hill Jr. of All City DLLS. "We have had a lot of experience watching players, talking about players, talking about games. It’s just kind of ironic, I think, when that was supposed to have happened a few years back. But I don’t recall it.”

On the field, Jones is taking just as much, if not more, heat for his team's early season performance. Through three games, the Cowboys are tied with the New York Giants — their Week 4 opponent — for the NFC East's worst record at 1-2.

After getting blown out 44-19 at home by the New Orleans Saints, Dallas dropped another home game to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. Jones' squad trailed 28-6 with under nine minutes to play before mounting a fierce, but ultimately unsuccessful comeback.
