Davante Adams Responds to Antonio Pierce's 'Business Decisions' Comment

The Raiders suffered an embarrassing home loss at the hands of the Panthers on Sunday, and head coach Antonio Pierce didn't mince words, criticizing his players for making "business decisions" and not playing with the level of effort he expects from them.

On Tuesday, former All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams appeared on the Up and Adams show and was asked about his head coach's comments.

"I agree. I think at the end of the day, you look at the drives we had at the end of that game, and we really didn't have much to play for other than pride," Adams said. "Obviously we got beat by a team we feel like we shouldn't have gotten beat by. We can't change the score late in the fourth."

"You just have to put the best stuff you can on tape, and I think a lot of people were doing that. Then there were some guys out there that were trying to see another day. That's really not what the game is about."

Adams called for his teammates to display more pride this coming Sunday. "We need everybody with the right mindset and devoted to doing that," he said.

Raiders fans will hope their team puts forth a much stronger effort this week as they host the Browns.
