Time To Be Concerned For Kelce?

    By Adam Schultz,

The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 3-0 on the season after a 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium , but Travis Kelce was again worryingly quiet.

While the offense still hummed along at times, it was all Rashee Rice in the passing game as the second-year receiver totaled 110 yards and a touchdown from 12 receptions.

Kelce had just four catches for 30 yards.

Prior to the game, the future Hall of Famer had just four catches for 39 yards, so there is a little uptick in improvement, but surely there is worry from the Chiefs regarding his output.

Now, Kelce has more than earned the right to fight through this little lull in form, and in truth, we fully expect him to re-announce himself to the league sooner rather than later. But with each game that goes by where he doesn't look like himself and has uncharacteristic drops, the questions will be asked of him.

In what is perhaps the Chiefs' biggest positive of the season so far is that they are undefeated and have beaten AFC contenders in the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and the rising Falcons, all without Kelce playing a major offensive role.

That makes this rather interesting. If he does get back to his All-Pro form, Kansas City will have another avenue in the passing game.

For now, Rice, Xavier Worthy, Juju Smith-Schuster, and the run game will have to help shoulder the offensive load.

We aren't worried about Travis yet...but a few more games like this, and the concern will only grow.
