Bo Nix Posts Top Rookie QB Performance of Season

After a pair of bumpy performances to start the season, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix turned in a dazzler on Sunday, recording the top PFF graded game of any rookie quarterback so far this season.

As the Broncos picked up their first win of the season over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nix completed 25-of-36 pass attempts for 216 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

Nix also ran for 47 yards and a score, earning a 74.1 grade from Pro Football Focus, the top mark of any rookie quarterback so far this season.

While there were a fair share of highlight plays in the Broncos’ 26-7 win, Nix’s solid grade was more connected to his lack of mistakes. The former Duck threw two interceptions in each of his first two starts for Denver, but on Sunday, the rookie accounted for zero turnovers.

Nix and the Broncos will be in action again this Sunday as they travel to take on the New York Jets. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PST.
