Deion Sanders Gives Colorado Players Harsh Reality Check After Baylor Win

Deion Sanders isn’t letting his Colorado squad get too comfortable after their thrilling 38-31 overtime victory against Baylor.

Aware of the narrow escape — which featured a Hail Mary and a forced fumble at the goal line — Sanders knows the Buffaloes can't rely on luck alone.

"We got blessed with the outcome of that game. You guys are out here like you dominated," Sanders said in a practice video released on Tuesday. "When are you going to want this for you? For your family, for your siblings. When are you going to want it? Start the whole damn practice over."

Sanders emphasized that while he admired his team’s resilience and refusal to quit, they should have never been in a position where they needed a miracle to pull off the win against the Bears.

“We feel like we’re the idiots that put ourselves in that situation to make it happen, and we don’t want to do that again,” Sanders said about the end of the Baylor game on Tuesday while speaking to the media. “We feel like we’re better than that. We really do, but we’re extremely thankful and appreciative that our men didn’t give up and they came through.”

With the win, Colorado moved to 3-1. The team's other wins came against FCS opponent North Dakota State and Colorado State.

The Buffaloes hit the road this week to take on UCF in a much stiffer test. Colorado is a two-touchdown underdog for the matchup, per ESPN BET.
