How's Steelers 'Clean' QB Justin Fields Stunning NFL Coaches?

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields took the opportunity to start and ran with it. Originally on the roster as a backup to Russell Wilson, Fields has played relatively - and to many, surprisingly - clean football through three games.

The Steelers are 3-0 in his starts and he only has one turnover to his name. In a Week 3 win over the then-undefeated Los Angeles Chargers, he finally got the offense rolling and into the end zone while the Pittsburgh defense had another dominant showing.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo revealed that coaches from around the league are starting to take notice of Fields’ performance.

"Two things you hear about the Steelers," Garafolo said. "One, the skepticism that they can keep winning this way. The other that you hear from coaches around the league, 'When is Fields gonna start making some mistakes?

“He can't possibly keep playing this clean of football.' I don't know, he keeps doing it, and they're doing a great job of coaching it up and calling it. I think he can."

Fields made his first mistake on Sunday tossing a pass that was intercepted by the Chargers. The Steelers' defense held Los Angeles to -8 yards on the ensuing drive, though, forcing a punt.

With a dominant defense behind him, Fields is becoming more and more comfortable taking shots downfield, and those plays are paying dividends more often than not. Fields has the Steelers on a roll and they will look to stay undefeated when they hit the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm. ET.
