Slow-Mo Video of Caitlin Clark's Monster Block vs. Sun Is Trending Online

It's the end of the line for the Indiana Fever. This is after Caitlin Clark and Co. suffered a season-ending, 87-81, loss against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday in Game 2 of their first-round matchup. The series is now over with Connecticut winning the first two games, which officially ends Indiana's campaign.

Caitlin Clark made sure to make her mark in her final game of the season, though. The newly-crowned AP Rookie of the Year went off for a game-high 25 points on 10-of-23 shooting to go along with six rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block and three triples in 40 minutes of action.

One of her most memorable plays came on the defensive end, too, with the 22-year-old denying Sun guard Veronica Burton with a monster block. Thankfully, the heads-up defensive play got the slow-mo treatment it deserves.

While the clip hasn't exactly gone viral (close to 75,000 views in less than eight hours as of writing), it's gotten all sorts of reactions from fans on X, formerly Twitter.

Fever supporters heaped praise on Clark for her defensive effort, which is an area of her game that has been criticized time and time again. The fans also appreciated how the former Iowa superstar left everything on the floor in what turned out to be the final game of her rookie campaign.

It goes without saying that Caitlin Clark and the Fever will be back with a vengeance in 2025.
