In the fourth quarter against Oregon State, the Ducks faced third and ten at their own 35. Dillon Gabriel set up to take the snap in an empty backfield.

From the left hash Oregon lined up in five wides, three receivers spread right, two to the left, the Beavers rushing four with a blitz coming from the left side. Gabriel fired quickly to Jayden Limar lined up on the outside near the sideline, a bullet chest high.

Behind a convoy of blockers, Limar caught it fluidly and cruised 65 yards for a touchdown, extending the Webfoots' lead to 46-14. Kenyon Sadiq tied up the cornerback. Josh Conerly, Pancho Laloulu and Marcus Harper screened off the rest, perfectly executed. All Limar needed was a seam, gone.

After practice yesterday reporters asked Limar about the play. "The way this team kinda works, you prove everything at practice. So everything I showed them in practice, they know if they put me out there in the game, that's what they're gonna get. That's why I get those opportunities like that and I just wanna keep trying to make the most of them," he said.

Around college football there are a lot of guys talking to their agents and handlers about playing time or their NIL deals, and a few of them are deciding to make tearful announcements on social media about how they love their brothers but they have to make a decision for themselves. They wish everyone at their old school the best, but they have decided to redshirt and enter the transfer portal.

Jayden Limar, he just put on his gear and went to practice, proving he was a guy you could trust on third and ten.
