DJ Moore Reveals His Feelings on Caleb Williams After Rocky Start to Season

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has shared an honest opinion about his rookie quarterback, Caleb Williams, following the signal-caller's rough start to the 2024 NFL season.

The Bears revamped their offense this past offseason. General manager Ryan Poles drafted Williams as the No. 1 overall pick, signed veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, drafted wide receiver Rome Odunze as the No. 9 overall pick and signed running back D'Andre Swift.

With all this talent surrounding Williams, including Moore, expectations were higher than last season for the offense.

However, it has looked out of sorts to start the season, mainly due to the underperforming offensive line. With a 1-2 record, the Bears are averaging just 3.0 yards per carry, which places them 31st out of 32 teams in the NFL.

Williams is also completing just 59.3% of his passes. In three games, Williams has thrown for 630 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

On Wednesday, Moore spoke to the media about Williams' play so far .

“He’s doing good," Moore said. "I can see growth week in and week out, and even though the losses can hide some of it, he’s been good. Even with a loss, he’s taking away the positives of the loss, and he wants to bounce back and figure out what he can do better for the team. For himself, he just keeps growing.”

Williams won the Heisman Trophy at the University of Southern California. In his college career, he threw for a total of 10,082 yards, 93 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

In Week 4, the Bears will host the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
