The Week 4 slate saw teams like the Kansas State Wildcats, Northern Illinois, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and USC Trojans lose to unranked or lower-ranked opponents. There were some almost upsets, with the Missouri Tigers holding off the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Texas A&M Aggies beating Bowling Green by six.

Greg McElroy announced his "Giant Killer" picks for Week 5. On a recent episode of " Always College Football ," McElroy believed that Texas A&M, the Georgia Bulldogs, and Oklahoma Sooners should be on upset alert.

The Auburn Tigers welcome Oklahoma to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the first time in series history. Auburn and Oklahoma last played in the 2017 Sugar Bowl, with the Sooners winning 35-19.

Hugh Freeze has yet to name a starting quarterback for the game. Payton Thorne and Hank Brown have both started for the Tigers this season. However, Brown had three interceptions in the first half against the Arkansas Razorbacks, and Thorne finished the game.

Oklahoma is also dealing with quarterback issues. Jackson Arnold struggled against the Tennessee Volunteers, and Michael Hawkins Jr. finished the game. Hawkins is starting in Week 5.

Oklahoma is favored by three points, per ESPN .

"Your giant killers this week are Arkansas, who is a healthy favorite or a healthy underdog," McElroy said. "Auburn, also a healthy underdog."

After Texas A&M barely got past Bowling Green in Week 4, McElroy thought Arkansas could spoil things in College Station in Week 5. Arkansas leads the all-time series 42-35-3. However, the Aggies have won the last two meetings.

After playing Marcel Reed at quarterback against the Florida Gators and Bowling Green, the Aggies are going with Connor Weigman. Weigman suffered an injury that kept him out of the last two games.

Despite Texas A&M being a three-point favorite by ESPN , McElroy still liked Arkansas to win.

"Your giant killers this week are Arkansas, who is a healthy favorite or a healthy underdog," McElroy said.

The final team that McElroy picked to cause an upset was the Alabama Crimson Tide. It is the first time since 2020 that the matchup between Alabama and Georgia is in the regular season.

McElroy realized how ironic it was to pick Alabama as a "Giant Killer," even though it is a giant. ESPN favors Georgia by two points.

"Then, finally, if we're going to dive deep in the weeds, right? McElroy said. "Like, we need to dive deep in the weeds. Who are some teams that could potentially pull things off? I'll go Alabama. They're an underdog at home as well. How can Alabama be a giant killer when they are, in fact, a giant themselves? I don't know, but hey, use it as you will."
